WhatsApp replies through NOAN on paid plans

WhatsApp is now a paid-plan feature: free-plan workspaces can disconnect an existing number or upgrade, for anyone who uses WhatsApp with NOAN.

Until now, WhatsApp worked through NOAN regardless of your plan. That is changing: WhatsApp is now part of the paid plans.

Why WhatsApp with NOAN

WhatsApp lets your workspace meet people where they already are. A customer messages your connected number and NOAN replies in the channel they chose, instead of asking them to switch to email or a form. For a small team, that is often the fastest way to answer a question, confirm a booking, or keep a conversation moving without anyone sitting on the line. It is one more surface running on the same facts as the rest of your workspace.

What's changing

  • Free plan: WhatsApp is off. On a free-plan workspace you can no longer send and receive through WhatsApp in NOAN. You can disconnect an existing number, or upgrade to turn it back on.
  • The bot replies with an upgrade note. If someone messages a free-plan workspace's connected number, NOAN responds with a short note that WhatsApp needs a paid plan, rather than going silent.
  • Paid plans are unchanged. If you are on a paid plan, your WhatsApp connection keeps working exactly as before.

Why it matters

If you connected WhatsApp while on the free plan, this is a real change to something you rely on, so we are stating it plainly rather than letting a reply quietly fail. The upgrade note means a customer who messages you still hears back, instead of wondering why no one answered.

Where to find it

Manage your WhatsApp connection in your project's integration settings. From there you can disconnect an existing number, or upgrade to keep using it.

Good to know: a free-plan number stays listed so you can disconnect it or upgrade, but it will not send or receive until you are on a paid plan.
