Create stacks and add blocks over MCP
Two new MCP tools let an agent build out your fact structure, with list_stacks now telling it which stacks accept new blocks, for builders automating workspace setup.
Over MCP an agent could read and write facts, but it could not create the stacks and blocks those facts live in. Building out a workspace structure meant doing it by hand in the app first.
What's new
create_stackandadd_block, both behind thefact:writescope, mirroring the REST and in-app flows.list_stacksnow returnsdescriptionandmanagedon stacks and blocks, so an agent can tell which stacks are managed and which accept new blocks before it tries to add one.
Why it matters
When you point an agent at a pile of documents to turn into a structured fact base, it can now create the stacks and blocks it needs as it goes, instead of stopping to ask you to build the structure first. People and agents work on the same board, and the agent can now help lay out the board.
The tools are available to any MCP client connected with a key that holds fact:write.
