agent-pack v0.2.0: files are grouped by agent, and market research can search again

The agent pack now keeps each agent's files in its own folder, and the market research agent can run searches again, for builders who forked agent-pack.

Until now, every agent in the pack shared one flat agents/ directory, so it was hard to see which files belonged to which agent, and the market research agent had lost the ability to run searches.

What changed

  • Each agent has its own folder. Every agent's files now live under agents/<agent-name>/, and code shared across agents lives in agents/shared/.
  • A map of the layout. agents/pack-layout.json lists where every file is, and the README's Where things are section has the full map.
  • Market research can search again. The market research agent can run its searches, after a period where that stopped working.

Why it matters

If you run the agent pack on your own schedule, you can now open the folder for a single agent and see everything it needs in one place, instead of picking its files out of a shared directory. And a market research run that was coming back without search results works again.

Where to find it

The release is on the public repository at github.com/getnoan. Read Where things are in the README for the full file map.

Good to know, and this is a breaking change: if you forked agent-pack before v0.2.0, your scheduled runs will fail after you sync until each workflow points at the new per-agent paths. If you have not edited your workflows, use GitHub's Sync fork button (or merge upstream/main) and the workflow changes come with it. If you have edited your workflows, update each run: line to the new agents/<agent-name>/ path after syncing. The README and agents/pack-layout.json show where each file moved.
